Introduction to ShieldLink™
There may be times when a customer requires you to provide a ShieldScore for all contractors, vendors and workers as part of supply chain security policy. Traditionally, you would fulfill this request by requiring all your emplloyees to ba background checked and provide those to your engaging partner as a condition of the contract. Now with ShieldLInk you can share your entire company's ShieldScore data while protecting your company data and privacy.
- ShieldLink connections are continuously maintained and updated as your network changes.
- To protect your sensitive data, shieldLink clients only receive the name and ShieldScore for each networked user, individual contact information such as email and ShieldID are replaced with your company's contact information.
- You have complete control over your ShieldLInk connection and can revoke consent to your clients at any time, by disabling from the "Shared with Others Screen"
- ShieldLink connections are dynamic and will continuously synchronize supply chain ShieldScore data as it's updated.
ShieldLink™ ID
Once ShieldLInk is activated on your account, you'll receive your ShieldLInk ID. ShieldLInk ID works similar to ShieldID, but represents a dynamic link to your trusted network. Your ShieldLink ID will be listed under your ShieldScore from your Dashboard and Networking Screens. All ShieldLInk IDs start with SL.
Inviting Companies with ShieldLink
Inviting companies using ShieldLink works similarly ri inviting users to your network using ShieldID except you'll be inviting the view a network rather than an individual. Both companies must have ShieldLink enabled to establish a ShieldLInk connection. If your account needs ShieldLInk, please call 760) 474-5367, or email us at [email protected].
- Start by selecting ShieldLInk Invite Company from your network actions menu.
- You will then be provided an option to invite someone using thieir ShieldLInkID. If the user's ShieldLInk ID is unknown, you may also invite using account owner's email address.
- The system will then send message to the user encouraging them to accept the invitation.
- When the user logs in the ShieldLink Invite will be in the invitation pane.
- Clicking Share ShieldScore(s) will open the modal to accept the invitation. Note:ShieldLInk invites can only be accepted as a company, not as an individual.
6. Once accepted, ShieldLink connections will display in your network as ShieldLInk scoreboard that is designed to provide a quick overview of the company's ShieldScores.
7. Once in your network, you can manage them as you would an individual ShieldID connection.
ShieldLInk™ ScoreBoard
The ShieldLink scoreboard is designed to provide you high-level insight into supply chain risks by providing a breakdown of the network's ShieldScores in an easy to read format.
- Each color on the scoreboard represents a corresponding ShieldScore.
- The count provided indicates the number of individuals in the company with the Shieldcore
- Pending, expired or other users with our a background check will be indicated in the grey color.
ShieldLink™ Details
There may be times when a Scoreboard result requires you to dig into the details. ShieldHUb makes that easy by providing you a method to show the individual members of a ShieldLInk company.
Note: When reviewing the details on a ShieldLinked company, only the ShieldScore and Name of individual members are available. Other identifying information such as phone number, ShieldID, and company name have been replaced by the ShieldLInk company name to protect the privacy of the supplier's workforce.
- To view the details of a ShieldLinked Company, select Show Details from the network action button:

Revoking Consent
ShieldHub is a consent based model that provides vendors and vendor companies the ability revoke consent at any time. Individuals within a company may also revoke consent, which may show up as an expired or unscored user within your vendor's network.
A company may revoke access by clicking the sharing switch in the network shared with others tab. Only the company owner can accept and revoke access to ShieldlInk IDs.
