How to Pay for Your Vendor Background Checks

There may be times where you wish to subsidize or purchase the background check for a vendor or independent contractor. ShieldHub provides a secure method to issue a coupon code that can be redeemed during the contractor purchase process. 

About Credit Cards & Coupons

ShieldHub requires that you add a credit card to your enteprise account before you can issue coupons to vendors.  It's important to understand that with coupons: 

• Your card will not be charged at coupon issuance
• Your card will charged as coupons are redeemed by vendors
• Your card must be valid with available balance at the time of purchase
• Coupons expire after six months
• Coupons can only be used once
• Authorization can be delegated to members of your team.

Coupon Types
ShieldHub Support can configure your coupons to allow for the following options.

• Full Payment Amount
• Percent Discount (i.e. 10%, 25%)
• Fixed Dollar Amount (i.e. $10, $25)

Delegating Coupon Issuance

ShieldHub Support can delegate coupon issuing for members of your team.  Your credit card will be charged for any coupons redeemed by your vendors. 

Issuing a Coupon

Coupons are issued at the point of invitation, simply select your desired coupon on the invite user.  For more information on invitations visit: Inviting Users to Your Network

You can reach the invitation modal by clicking the Invite User option from the Network Actions button.  If coupons are enabled, the Include Candidate Purchase Coupon feature is available at the bottom of the modal screen:

The coupon code will be included on the email invite that is sent to the vendor. Your vendor redeems the code during their purchase.  Visit How to Redeem a Coupon For more information on how vendors redeem coupons.
